Parreira Clinches Championship at Lemoore

Sprint Car Insider – Driver Exclusive. HANFORD, Ca (October 2, 2018) – Dalton Parriera earned the Lemoore Raceway track Championship in 2018 after asserting himself as the driver to beat all year long.
Dalton “the Sherriff” Parreira was the most dominant driver at Lemoore Raceway in 2017 but he fell short of the ultimate goal. In 2018 however, he was even more dominant he racked up more wins, won bigger races, and closed the deal on the ultimate goal of becoming champion. The Sherriff won 9 times at Lemoore Raceway alone. He allowed other drivers to find victory only five times out of the 14 races in total.

His margin ended up being a total of 84 points. Had no throw outs been included his margin would have been 109. After picking up 9 wins on the season the Sherriff was the dominant force all year.
Saturday night, however, he had the chance to jump into double digits at Lemoore but fell just short. He came home third on Saturday night at the Budweiser Grand Prix but it was more than enough to wrap up the title and officially earn the season-high win total.

Beyond Lemoore Raceway Dalton the sheriff Parreira amassed 23 wins including the Clay Cup Nationals, 7 King of California wins, and multiple wins on each track in the state of California.
Coming into this weekend he stands another two chances to pick up titles. First, is the King of California series in which he did not even intend on running when the year began. After missing the first round at Dixon Parreira went on a terror and found himself in the thick of the title fight leaving the team no choice but to get after it. With only two rounds remaining, Parreira currently holds a 22 point advantage over second, with throwaways included.
Aside from the King of California but running simultaneously is the Delta Speedway track Championship. Saturday nights king of California finale also serves as Deltas point finale in which, the sheriff leads by 47 points, before throwaways. Parriera comes into this weekend with the opportunity to wrap up his third and fourth titles of the year.
Parreira is slated to move into the Restricted class in 2019 and he looks to go out of the Jr Sprint class on top.
