Sprint Car Insider- Driver Exclusive. (November 5, 2018) – Caleb Debem won his second Lonnie Kaiser Memorial in a row last weekend at Dixon Speedway.
It was this race last year where Caleb Debem stepped out of his shell and drove to a masterful performance. He had wins to his credit before then but it was this event at Dixon Speedway that served as a precursor to the level of competitiveness Debem would showcase in 2018.
As his Jr. Sprint career comes to a close Debem once again gave the field all they could handle at the Sixth Annual Lonnie Kaiser Memorial. The two night show began Friday with qualifying. The Jr. Sprint class actually has the opportunity to qualify still up at Dixon, showcasing the lap times these young drivers are capable of. Debem wound up qualifying third quick on the weekend.
In the heat race he had quite the battle before coming home second. His efforts to that point were good enough to land in the trophy dash. The trophy dash led to another another wire to wire battle only this time Debem came out on top.
That would be the theme the rest of the weekend.
The Sixth Annual Lonnie Kaiser Memorial saw the 3D of Caleb Debem start from the pole. He took the green flag and proceeded to check out. His lap times were significantly faster than the rest of the field. He kept his head in the game and the hammer down en route to yet another victory on the year.
As Caleb Debem’s Jr Sprint Career comes to a close he continues to show that he has what it takes to be competitive moving forward. With Doug Silva turning the wrenches and the crew he has in his corner Debem looks to make a smooth transition into the Restricted 600 division next season.
But first, Caleb Debem has his sights set on the 34th Annual Tulsa Shootout. If you’re interested in supporting this young driver in the form of sponsorship as they make their inaugural pilgrimage to the pinnacle of Micro sprint races please feel free to give us a call, or call/email his father Pete directly.
