Kyle Offill completes sophomore season of Sprint Car racing and looks ahead to 2019
By Gary Thomas
Tracy, CA – December 9, 2018…After completing his sophomore season of Sprint Car racing Tracy, California’s Kyle Offill is now preparing for the upcoming 2019 campaign as he gets set to enter year three aboard the Country Builders Construction No. 2K machine.
This past season saw Offill utilize a few different crew chiefs throughout the course of the year and put together some of the finest finishes of his young career over the later stages. The 18-year-old full-time college student tallied career-best results at Placerville Speedway (3rd), Ocean Speedway in Watsonville (3rd), Silver Dollar Speedway in Chico (7th) and with the Sprint Car Challenge Tour at Keller Auto Speedway in Hanford (9th).
“I really want to thank all our sponsors and everyone that makes it possible for Team KO Racing to compete each week,” Offill commented. “Without all of our partners and supporters it wouldn’t be possible. We had a lot of fun this past season and I feel like we grew as a team during the year. It’s all about gaining laps and I think we certainly did that by running a little more and racing at some new venues. Finishing on the podium at both Placerville Speedway and Ocean Speedway was a big highlight for us.”
After joining the team in September of last year Jonathan Allard will return as crew chief for Team KO Racing. The 2K team would also like to welcome aboard Dillon Paddock as a new crew member for the 2019 season. Offill’s plans for next year include running at the Silver Dollar Speedway in Chico on Friday nights, along with competing full-time with the Sprint Car Challenge Tour presented by Elk Grove Ford and Abreu Vineyards. The team will also mix in some Winged 410 Sprint Car racing when it fits in the schedule.
“I’m looking forward to working with Jonathan Allard once again next season and adding in Dillon Paddock will be great as well,” Offill said. “We’re building a nice team over here and I can’t wait to get it all started. We’re going to be running Maxim Chassis this year with horsepower from Moyle Engines, so it should be a great combo.”
Kyle Offill Racing would like to thank Country Builders Construction, Ochoco West, Boise Cascade, Reliable Lumber, Maas Brothers Powder Coating, B&S Hacienda Auto Body, Brown & Miller Racing Solutions, Bacchetti Hay Service, Offill Family Farms, Octane Ink, HRP, Moyle Engines and T-Mac Motorsports for their support this season.
