Ben Worth the Hype

Sprint Car Insider- Driver Exclusive. VISALIA, Ca. (December 24, 2018) -It was Just one short year ago when Ben Worth debuted as pilot of the number 10j at the Tulsa Shootout, as he makes his return he’s ready to finish what he started.

No one will soon forget Ben Worth’s T.V time moment of glory that became the sound bite of the year for the Tulsa Shootout. But with remembering his finest interview comes with remembering what put him in that position in the first place.

Ben Worth was the man to beat in the early going of the 33rd Annual Tulsa Shootout. He won his first career races inside of the river spirit Expo Center during the beginning of te week. Worth really turned heads when he started dead last in his Non-Wing heat race and made it to the front before the end of two laps. He only made it more spectacular when he spun out on his own, went to the back, and passed everyone again before winning.

It was Just one short year ago Ben Worth debuted as pilot of the number 10j tuned by Jerrod Huckleberry at the Tulsa Shootout. There was a distinct transition for Worth at the moment of this change that results say he will be much better suited to handle. Although Worth has always been a high caliber driver, the expectations associated with driving a car with so much success presented a new challenge for Worth last year.

Not only was the winning a Driller the goal for the team, it was the expectation. Just like a normal race back home the only thing expected of the 10j at the Shootout is a win. What’s more was the entourage surrounding Worth and telling him how he not only could win, but should win. While Worth expects nothing less of himself regardless, the change of mentality seemingly overnight looked to have an impact on the manner in which he handled the week.

Worth went from the Tulsa Shootout being a dream win to a race he is expected to win overnight.

With an entire year under his belt going into Tulsa this time, Worth now believes in that sentiment wholeheartedly. Ben Worth is going to Tulsa for one reason and one reason only, and that’s to bring home the glory.

Not only does he expect himself to in the contention for wins in four classes, he’s got redemption on his mind. Last year did not end on his terms. He was right in the thick of the fight when disaster struck. But that is where the confidence began to grow with each passing lap.

For a year now what could have been has crossed his mind on a daily basis. Now he has the chance to answer the call, and finish what he started.

This time around Worth will be flying the flag for the all-new TEN-J Chassis brand aboard the number 10j tuned by executive fabricator Jerrod Huckleberry in four classes. Worth will contest for Drillers in Outlaw, Outlaw Non-Wing, Stock Non-Wing, and A-Class, beginning next Tuesday inside of the River Spirit Expo Center in Tulsa, Oklahoma.

Will Worth ride the Shootout glory?

There is no more waiting. The time is now.

It’s Tulsa Time.
