Pre Qualifier Report – Ben Worth

Sprint Car Insider- Driver Exclusive. TULSA, Okla. (December 31, 2018) Heat Race results gradually elevated from good, to great, to darn right exceptional for Ben Worth so far under the lights at the 34th Annual Tulsa Shootout.

The first go of it was just after practice when he pulled the 10j out without the top for Outlaw Non-Wing heat number two. He rolled off from the third spot and that’s where he would stay. After being passed by TEN-J teammate Mitchel Moles who came from fifth the third place heat performance was a bit lackluster by the standards of Worth, and a missed opportunity on passing points.

But clearly, as Results will indicate, he was just getting the ball rolling.

In Stock Non-Wing the ultimate opportunity presented itself. Ben Worth found himself rolling off from the 8th spot. This year didn’t see Worth come from the back to the front twice but he did make it to third. His 8th to 3rd performance capitalizes on the Shootout format and should put him in prime position moving forward.

In the A-Class he did it again. The snowball had started to roll down hill at this point. Worth took the green from the 6th position. As the field charged through the 8-lap heat race, the 10j of Worth charged into a runner-up position. His solid finish coupled with strong passes will again, have him in good position as the quest for Drillers Continues.

With three of four heats in the books it was clear Worth had saved the best for last.

Time for the premier class of the event to take to the track. – the Outlaw Winged 600 class. This is the class Worth has adapted to best this year with the majority of his wins and nearly all his records, with the wing on.

He took the green from third and proceeded to show the field what the talks been about.

Ben Worth put the 10j TEN-J Chassis out front and never lifted, or look back, it was both! He surged to victory to claim the third checkered flag for the brand thus far in the week. Unofficially his performance has him sitting 7th in overall points heading into the most important stretch of the event.

The journey is just getting started for Ben Worth. Now the luck is created and not picked on a box of matches. Now the Quest for the ultimate prize becomes a fight of who can outlast the variables of Tulsa. Now, we say, the journey has just begun.
