Fuson Found Flow in Tulsa

Sprint Car Insider- Driver Exclusive. TULSA, Okla. (January 5, 2019) – Brody Fuson may have had a slow start but once he got comfortable he continued to do what he’s been doing the last two years – turn heads.

Coming into Driller Day at the 34th Annual Tulsa Shootout Brody Fuson is still very much alive with a shot at making it to a couple Driller Paying main events. Today Fuson will roll off from the 13th spot of B Main number 2 in the Outlaw Non Wing class, 14th from B Main 8 in Outlaw Wing and 9th from B Main 5 of the Winged A- Class.

The first day of racing action put Fuson behind the eight-ball but once he got rolling, he was rollin. He really caught everyone’s attention when he drove through the field from 8th to first in the Outlaw Non-Wing C main. According to the announcer it was the furthest anyone had come up to win that day. That race surely didn’t go unnoticed as every peer around the local pits shared their sentiments on Facebook.

It was only the beginning for young Fuson. He did it again the next time out. This time in the premier class of the event, Outlaw Wing, Fuson turned in a blistering 8th to 3rd performance. His run landed him in B Main number 8 with the 14th starting spot. Up to that point Fuson had put up 12 passes for position over less than 20 laps. Put him in the main and he could be dangerous.

Fuson will also have a third chance at making to a Main in the A- Class. Although Fuson is a non winger by heart, he has elevated his wing game out here significantly. He rolls off from 9th in A-Class B Main number 5.

Heading into the final day of the 34th Annual Tulsa Shootout Brody Fuson is still very much alive. The dream of capturing a Driller is by no means out of the question, especially with the ability to pass he has displayed over the course of the week. It’s not over yet. But the biggest thing for the Fuson’s was to gain some big stage seat time and open eyes.

Check and check for the young man out of Bakersfield. It’s evident he was nervous to start but once the nerves went away young Fuson flexed his might. Fuson has proven to not be intimidated by anything or anyone all week long. From the start of the year Fuson has had Tulsa on his mind and now the time has come. The young man has proven capable of going wheel to wheel with some of the best Micro sprint racers in history and now he looks to do it on the grandest stage of them all.

, no one would be surprised. However, at the age of barely 14, Brody Fuson is just getting started, the number 51 has arrived, and he’s here to stay.
