Pahule Earns Top Five & Podium at Dual at Delta

Prodigy Race Promotions on Sprint Car Insider. Driver Exclusive. STOCKTON, Calif. (August 31, 2019) – Jeffrey Pahule Jr earned two top five finishes this weekend at the Dual at Delta including his third runner up finish at Delta Speedway this season.

Pahule finished inside of the top five during both nights of the Dual at Delta this year. Not only was Sunday’s runner up finish his third time taking second at Delta, it was his 13th podium of the year and 18th top five. So far this season in 31 features, Pahule has finished inside of the top ten a total of 27 times. The highlight of his 2019 season however, is the three visits he’s made to victory lane, all at Dixon Speedway.

The Labor Day tradition at Delta Speedway kicked off Saturday night. Pahule began his weekend by turning the eighth fastest lap time in qualifying. He followed his qualifying effort up with a heat race victory. Pahule came into the Dual at Delta night one, 25-lap Restricted, main event starting in the 11th position.

Making up ground has nearly become a tradition for Pahule this year at Delta. In his 13 main events at Delta, Pahule has passed more than 60 car in main event action alone. Saturday night he added seven more tally marks to that count.

After taking the green flag from the 11th position, Pahule charged through the field once again. He was wheelin and dealin once again, slicing through the pack. At the end of 25 laps, he brought the Teletech Communications/ Motivated Racewear, number 44x home in the fourth position. One is left to wonder what the 44x could do if he started near the front. He had another chance on Sunday.

Night two of the Dual at Delta saw Pahule put down the fifth fastest lap in qualifying. His top level qualifying effort set the tone for the night. It also altered the trajectory of where he would land in the starting order for the feature. It brought the potential to deliver the scenario he’s been looking for. After taking third in his heat race he got his time back and as luck would have it, the 44x would set the pace for the 25-lap feature.

Finally Jeffrey Pahule Jr had the opportunity to bring the the Restricted class down to the green flag at Delta Speedway. He stared down his best opportunity to earn victory Delta Speedway. However to his outside was another young driver who never quits and makes it hard on others to win. He gave it everything he had. He finished in front of those who had better lap times, but it was only enough for another second place run at Delta. His consistency is getting him closer and closer to a win. In fact, he took a giant leap toward one this week by just putting himself in position to maximize an opportunity.

Following the Dual at Delta Pahule gained a spot in the points but ironically is the exact same distance out of the lead in total. Still sitting just 42 markers out of the top spot he still has more than an outside chance of stealing the title if all of the stars align with only two points races remaining at Delta.

Over at Dixon things are much closer. Pahule just relented the points lead two rounds ago. Up until this point he’s stood atop the standings much of the year. Now, with four points races remaining, he sits in second, well within striking distance. The new points leader may be on a hot streak, but Dixon has been Jr’s Playground all year long. The title fight is sure to go down to the wire. Mistake free races are going to be monumental from this point forward.

That’s what’s on tap for this weekend. The 44x race team will be in Dixon on Saturday for race 12 of the Dixon Speedway track championship series. The season has come down to the homestretch and the 44x has two opportunities to be crowned champion. At Dixon it’s within arms reach. The difference between being a champion and being a contender will be determined over the next month and a half.

Where will the 44x put his name in the history books?
