Pahule Earns Fifth Delta Top Five in a Row

Prodigy Race Promotions on Sprint Car Insider. Driver Exclusive. BRENTWOOD, Calif. (September 16, 2019) – Jeffrey Pahule Jr finished inside of the top five at Delta for the fifth consecutive time Saturday night.

Quietly, Jeffrey Pahule Jr has posted some of the most consistent, and prolific results sheets of all Delta Speedway regulars. After Saturday’s penultimate round he will now enter the October 6th finale third in Restricted points, just 43 out of the lead. His overall positioning in points largely resembles the stat sheet that hasn’t had a number higher than 5 typed on to it since the end of July.

Since his small slump following Clay Cup Pahule has actually been lights out consistent at Delta. He’s finished inside of the top five the last five strait races, eight times total, with five of them on the podium. He’s garnered the runner up bid three times, one time passing eight cars to get there. The numbers don’t lie. Pahule has been one of the best at Delta all season long.

Overall, Pahule has 33 races under his belt. Of his 33 features he has three wins, 13 podiums, 20 top fives, and 27 top tens. If you calculate the math, per capita – Pahule has performed best overall at Delta. His five of 13 total podiums account for 65% of the time he’s been on the box. These stats are of little outside knowledge but after watching Pahule wheel his way around Delta they really tell the whole tale.

He kicked off his raceday at Delta by driving in the third fastest lap time in qualifying. After that he stepped it up one position and took second in his heat. Going into the next-to-last Restricted points paying main event of the Delta Season Pahule roller the 44x off from the third spot. Of all the races he’s spent going so far forward the few races he’s started near the front have not materialized the same. Pahule drove his way to fourth. It earned his fifth strait top five at Delta but also provided the stark reminder that the opportunity to win at Delta this season is running short.

That was the goal from the beginning- to win at Delta. While he may not have that box checked just yet, he has been the best overall driver in the class over the last five races according to the results. He has passed more cars than anyone in the class, and he has done it all on a basis so regular you could almost pencil it in beforehand.

Only one round remains between Pahule and a top three in overall points at California’s most contested track. It’s a feat not easily earned and highly regarded. He also sits within just 20 points of the Dixon title with three races remaining. As the season winds down the scope of what’s been done by the 44x is shining to light.

With all this in mind it must be perfect timing for Pahule to be in the mix at one of the Industrys biggest races as a whole – The Mark Hagopian Memorial.

This weekend Pahule and the 44x will be back in action at Keller Auto Raceway Plaza Park for the the Third Running of the Mark Hagopian Memorial. Beginning Friday night Keller Auto Raceway will once again unveil the red carpet for the event that dawns the name of the track legend himself.

Once again the track is said to be primed and prepped to live up to all its mystique and allure.. Once again world class drivers are on their way in from far and wide to fight for the title that bares the legends name. It’s arguably the biggest single race in California. It’s hands down the biggest race at Park Park. It unquestionably means the world to all the drivers who take part.

By weekends end Pahule hopes to carry the momentum he’s built into the top step of the podium and the title of #MHM19 Champion.

It’s all on the line this weekend.
