Ty Lovenburg’s Chance to Tame the Top Five

Prodigy Race Promotions on Sprint Car Insider- Driver Exclusive. VISALIA, Calif. (October 7, 2019) – > Ty Lovenburg has proven to be an absolute terror when he gets the chance to come through the pack this season.

Out of every feature event Ty has ran this season he has passed at least two cars in 12 of them stemming from Deming to Delta, home at Plaza, and especially at Lemoore. Of course his claim to fame was gaining 11 positions at Clay Cup storming up to 7th all the way from 25th. It was actually a couple weeks prior to that that kicked off his hard charging craze.

All the way back at the summer sizzle at Delta in mid June, Ty has been a charger. In the night one main event he charged from 14th into the top ten taking over five positions. From that point forward the more opportunity Ty’s been given to come through the field, the more he’s flourished.

This Friday night he has the chance to nail down the fruits of his labor by landing a top five overall in the championship Point standings at Lemoore Raceway. He currently holds 683 total points, good enough for 5th in the standings, 47 ahead of 6th. With three top fives this season at Lemoore, it stands as Ty’s best track in terms of results. He’s also put in some memorable charges out there. In each one of his top fives he has had to claw and scratch his way into position. He’s offered quite a significant foreshadowing to the resilience he has inside of him.

Ty has tamed the toughest races and turned the toughest scenarios into his time of shine. In 29 races he’s earned eight top fives, 24 top tens, and done so by way of a major charge 11 different times. His biggest performance took place on the biggest stage. Fear does not affect him.

Friday night he’ll look to grab his ninth top five of the season and perhaps his first podium on his way to top five points.

The Lemoore Raceway Budweiser Grand Prix Points Finale kicks off Friday night. It’s all on the line.
