Dalton the Sheriff Parreira Eyes Cal Cup Crown

Prodigy Race Promotions on Sprint Car Insider. Driver Exclusive- HANFORD, Calif. (November 6, 2019) – > Dalton Parreira has his sights set on claiming the California Cup Championship this weekend to cap off his rookie Restricted 600 campaign at Lemoore Raceway.

The last time Lemoore Raceway hosted a marquee two-night event the Sheriff found his way to victory lane on both nights. At the Tachi Palace Nationals, back in June, Parreira not only claimed his first career 600 win, he swept the weekend. He claimed his first two career Restricted wins during one of the biggest weekends of the reason. Since then however, he’s been the bridesmaid more than a few times.

Parreira has finished in the runner-up spot an astounding nine times this year. Six of those have come at Lemoore. Five of them have come behind friendly rival Gauge Garcia. In addition Parreira has eight total podiums at Lemoore and nine top tens. The California Cup Championship and $1200 payday that comes with it offers up the perfect opportunity for redemption.

Parreira came out lightning fast in his debut season in the Restricted 600 division. In total on top of his two wins, he’s earned 15 podiums, 17 top fives, and 28 top tens, in 36 total starts. With his two wins coming at one of the biggest races of the season he’s proven that the size of the stage is no big deal. He ran incredibly at Lemoore hard during California Speedweek as well. He came close to winning against some of the best drivers across the nation. He came up one spot shy that night:

He can get the job done. Dalton the Sheriff Parreira is going to be tough to beat at the Cal Cup with 1,200 dollars and a championship belt on the line.

After-all, he IS, the Sheriff in town.

The 2019 edition of the California Cup at Lemoore Raceway kicks off Thursday night with a test and tune session for everyone to shake things down. Racing begins on Friday. Friday night will host a full night of racing action with points on the line determining seeding going into Saturday.

The elevated purse and prestige put on the line for this years Cal Cup has drivers coming in from all ends of the country. Winning on Saturday night will be no easy task. Anyone who lands in victory lane will earn a title that can never be taken away. Its all about the prestige that comes with it.
