Stockton, CA – January 8, 2021…With the calendar flipped to a new year Northern California based Noceti Group Inc. is eager to present a full slate of motorsports competition at the Stockton Dirt Track, Stockton 99 Speedway, Drifting and Little 99 this season.
The Stockton Dirt Track and 99 Speedway each held events this past weekend, with the Dirt Track set to get right back at it on Saturday January 16th featuring a program of Dirt Modifieds, Sports Mods, Bombers, B4 Cylinders, and a special Fan Race. The facility will see a full complement of Modified and Stock Car action this year, as a total of nine races will be headlined by Dirt Mods. A trio of visits by the King of the West-NARC 410 Sprint Car Series and two appearances by the Sprint Car Challenge Tour will be seen, along with a pair of non-sanctioned Winged 360 Sprint Car races. Special events returning to the lineup include the “Salute to LeRoy Van Conett,” the “Jimmy Sills Classic” and the 38th annual “Tribute to Gary Patterson.” For the first time the speedway will also honor the late Roy Lee Van Conett during the month of July.
Other highlights on the schedule will be the inaugural Enduro Lonestar 200 in April, the West Coast Summer Nationals Tractor Pulls in June and Monster Truck Madness in October. Noceti Group is working with Brad Dixon of Devils Bowl Speedway on the Lonestar Enduro, which will pay $5,000-to-win and pay down to the top-20 finishers.
“We kicked off the season last week at the Stockton Dirt Track and hopefully everyone was pleased with the racetrack after the changes in the off-season,” commented NGI President Tony Noceti. “We’re continuing to tweak the surface ever so slightly but are happy with the direction its headed. One of my goals at the end of the season was to improve things with our track because we want to give racers and fans the best show possible.”
Likewise, Stockton 99 Speedway also features a full schedule of events with the track coming back to life for its 72nd season on Saturday March 13th during the $5,000-to-win SPEARS Pro Late Model Series sanctioned “Asparagus Cup 125.” Rounding out the early season card will be the Legends of the Pacific. The event will showcase an Open Practice/ Test and Tune the night before.
The SPEARS Pro Late Model Series will contest a total of four events at the track this season, while the SPEARS Southwest Tour will headline a pair of programs on May 1st and August 14th. Returning champions and all the local favorites will be back in action this year with a healthy mix of the Stockton Late Models, Bombers, B4 Cylinders and more. A new series created this year includes the Junior B4’s, which showcases drivers ages 10-15. A mandatory Junior B4 orientation will occur at the track on April 11th.
Additional cornerstone events that dot the schedule include the “Ron Strmiska Firecracker 125” on July 4th, the annual “Night of Champions” featuring autographs and honoring drivers of the days gone by on August 7th, the “Fall Classic” on October 2nd and Championship Night on October 23rd. The annual “Rods, Ribs & Brew Car Show” also returns during Labor Day weekend on Saturday September 4th.
“A lot of work and effort went into creating this year’s schedule for the 72nd season of racing at Stockton 99 Speedway,” Noceti stated. “We’re excited to have four shows with the SPEARS Pro Late Model Series and a couple with the SPEARS Southwest Tour. We also look forward to the Junior B4’s and giving younger individuals a place to start out in an entry level division. All the big shows are back as well including the Night of Champions and the Ron Strmiska 125 on the Fourth of July.”
Noceti Group will also host several Drifting events as they attempt to continue getting people off the streets and into a contained environment with a safe operation. Drifting will be held at the San Joaquin County Fairgrounds on February 21st, March 21st, May 16th, June 6th, July 18th, August 22nd, September 25th, October 24th and November 21st. Drifting will invade Stockton 99 Speedway on July 13th and October 31st. The Drift event on January 2nd at the fairgrounds brought out 109 entrants.
Along with that Noceti and his team are also working on a full schedule of Go Kart and Motorcycle racing at Little 99 Speedway, which is located at the San Joaquin County Fairgrounds. NGI is taking back operation of the venue and working on clean up, plus making repairs where needed in hopes for a bright year.
